Grace in the Middle

Hi friend,

I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you stumbled upon this or came looking for encouragement, I hope this becomes a space that brings light into your life. Grace in the Middle is a blog born from prayer, tears, healing, and a whole lot of learning through life’s messiness.

This blog is part of Rest and Healing Ministries, and while my husband and I continue to pursue a retreat property to host in-person gatherings, I’ve been asking God, “What can I be faithful with right now?” This blog is my “yes” to that question. It’s a place where I can begin to share, encourage, and walk alongside others—right in the middle of real life.

I don’t write from a place of having it all together. I’m still learning, still growing, and still healing in my own journey. But I believe there’s power in sharing what we’ve learned and in pointing one another toward hope. I believe we don’t have to have everything figured out to be an encouragement to someone else.

What You’ll Find Here

Three pillars of encouragement and growth

1. Spiritual Growth

We’ll talk about prayer, reading the Word, fasting, learning to be still, and creating space for God in your everyday life. This pillar is about nurturing a soul that’s anchored in Him—even when everything around us feels unsteady.

2. Marital Health

Marriage is beautiful, messy, and worth the work. I’ll share insights on communication, handling conflict, understanding your spouse’s needs, and ways to invest in your marriage with intentional love and care.

3. Healing from Betrayal & Addiction

This one’s deeply personal. I’ll focus mainly on the betrayal side of sexual addiction—how it affects your heart, your identity, your mind—but also what healing and hope can look like over time. I may occasionally share insights into the addiction side as well, including how the brain heals and what recovery involves.

Why Now?

As I’ve prayed about what Rest and Healing Ministries can do now, while we wait on the larger vision, I believe God is calling me to start here—with words. With stories. With reminders that you’re not alone. I hope to offer encouragement through what I’ve learned and continue to learn, not from a place of perfection, but from one of grace and growth.

A Scripture That Captures My Heart

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
—1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)

This verse reflects exactly why I’m writing—to build up others in the middle of it all. Whether you’re in a place of deep struggle, waiting, healing, or growth—I want you to know God is still with you. And so are others who are walking a similar road.
